Find Your Creativity

Our new tutor Andrea has extensive experience as an artist and art teacher specialising in drawing out the creativity in her students. Andrea believes that everybody has the ability to be creative and to achieve success.

In this course she will take you through the proces of developing the creative process. You will begin by creating a collage and work through to creating an abstract painting.

Watercolours & Drawing

This course includes practical tuition in all forms of watercolour painting with emphasis on drawing skills.  Students are encouraged to enjoy the process and experiment with a range of techniques and ideas in a journey towards a personal approach.  John draws on his extensive experience as an artist and teacher, demonstrating techniques, and analysing examples by well known watercolours artists.

Mosaic Mirrors

Learn the techniques of this centuries old art from this experienced teacher and artist, Andrea Evans-McCall. Using your imagination and creativity, you can create stunning decorative art objects or functional pieces for your home.

Portraiture

Under expert guidance, you will learn how to develop the necessary skills to get a good likeness, capture different facial expressions and use a range of media including pencil, charcoal and pastels. Projects include working from live models and doing a self-portrait as well as working from photographic sources.

Wire Sculpture

Learn the art of wire sculpting in this two-part workshop. You get to go home after a fun class with a finished piece and lots of ideas for your next one.

No experience is necessary and all materials are provided and included in the course fee.

Introduction to Photography

Become familiar with your camera by learning its basic functions - how to photograph a range of subjects, understand file sizes, formats and transferring images. Them move from the basics to getting the most out of your camera and the images you create.

You will learn how to maximise the use of your camera by understanding its menus, options and advanced settings. Soon you will be producing interesting photos with your new understanding of composition, exposure and angles.
