Computer and Business Skills

Courses tagged with the ‘Learn Local’ logo are subsidised by government funding. 
Eligibility: The primary purpose of pre-accredited training programs is to initiate vocational and/or employment pathways.

 

  • Women, including young mothers, women seeking to re-enter the workforce after significant time away, women who have experienced or are experiencing family violence

  • People in low socio-economic status localities

  • Early school leavers (both mature and youth)

  • Indigenous people

  • Low skilled and vulnerable workers

  • Unemployed/underemployed people

  • People from a culturally or linguistically diverse background

  • People with a disability

  • Young people who may be at risk of disengaging or who may have already disengaged from the community and/or education

Learners must: Be an Australian or New Zealand resident and/or hold an Australian permanent Visa.

 

Learn Local Fee $45 If you are attending this course as a way to enhance your career options, return to study, or participate as a volunteer in our community.

Full Fee $170  If you are attending this course for personal use only.

Computers for Beginners

This 7 week course is designed to take you through the steps to show you basic computer skills, emails and Internet. Each week you will be guided through a new process and an opportunity for one-on-one tuition in order to build confidence and skills. This course is perfect for adults with no previous computer experience, or for those who want to brush up on their skills.

A Taste of Hospitality
with Frank Fazio

A Taste of Hospitality is a NEW course at PICAL.
Bass Coast has a variety of hospitality businesses who are looking for trained staff ready to be employed for this fast paced industry. This short course will give you the employability skills in food preparation, customer service and professional presentation. You will also learn how to prepare and cook healthy meals while sticking to a budget. Class is strictly limited to the first 8 participants, so book today!

 

As with all training please bring a notepad and pen with you to class.
