Term 4 Course Guide out now!

Expand your learning or start something new for work or personal development!

We have been working hard to secure extra funding to subsidise some of our courses in response to the shifting COVID-19 environment. If you have been looking to update your resume or re-skill into a new area, now is the time.

This term we are introducing a new Digital Skills short course. This course is designed to help you live, learn and work in the digital world. The first class is delivered face-to-face here at PICAL. We will teach you how to set up and use the online video conferencing platform everyone's talking about - Zoom! If you don't have a computer or device at home, we can lend you an iPad for the duration of the course. For the next 5 classes you will Zoom in from home on your device and meet your tutor and classmates online. It's a supportive and safe space to help you gain your confidence with digital technology!

Our Discover Horticulture course with Rick Coleman is still proving very popular with gardeners wanting to improve their home grown production and also those considering taking their horticulture knowledge a little further.

PICAL's Isolation Nights series

concluded on Monday September 7th following a fantastic presentation from Mat Bowtell from

Free 3D Hands. We were blown away by Mat and his team's response to the shortages faced by the community and our frontline workers at the start of the pandemic. With dedication and unwavering commitment, one small factory on Phillip Island proved just how we can get manufacturing done, right here on home soil.

We'd like to thank all of our presenters: Chris Duff The Country Dietitian, Lois Gaskin from Turn the Page Bookshop and Linda Wilson from Elite Counselling

for giving so generously of their time. Make sure you stay connected as we continue along the road to the new COVID normal. There are many people in our community ready and willing to help and PICAL is only a phone call away!
